I've always wanted to create an animation for an 11 Second Club competition. I finally got around to it last month! My little claymation won 2nd place.
Stoopid Buddy Stoodios made a video to teach you stop-motion! Check it out:
"This two-hour instructional video will give you an exclusive opportunity to learn stop-motion character animation from the award-winning team that brings you "Robot Chicken!" Whether you're an animation student or hobbyist, this well-rounded introduction is the perfect tool for taking your animation to the next level. Topics include frame rates, basic physics, walks, performing with a character, and animating to dialogue." I was on the animation team for this year's NBC Christmas Special "Elf". Make sure to check it out on December 16th.
Also, a bunch of the artists who worked on Elf contributed to Screen Novelties' very first "Zeen". Here is the digital version. Back in 2008 I drew a quick little comic strip about the adventures of a redheaded lifeguard named Justin. Six years later I turned it into a minute long animation that's on the adult swim website. Check it out: This was my piece for the Robot Chicken DC Comics Art Show. It's based on my favorite sketch from Robot Chicken DC Comics 2, animated by Cam Baity: |
