Sometimes when I'm sculpting or animating with clay, it gets too soft. Van Aken is worse than Newplast in this regard. Even though I'm using Newplast for this character, he started to get really soft as I was sculpting. So I stuck him in the freezer to harden him back up. It works great, although the clay tends to sweat after it's removed:
